KIDNEST by FERRED - Products in organic certified Fair Trade cotton and products derived from vegetable starch
Organic and sustainable cotton

(continues from page 1)

Cotton employed in Kidnest products labelled Ferred is bleached in caustic soda (NaOH) to remove impurities and soften the fibres,  obtaining at the mean time effluent water recovery and purification.
Subsequently, the cotton is washed with hydrogen peroxide, that is the common  oxygenate water; this second treatment is adopted to remove all the bacteria and impurities from the cotton, without using  chlorine compounds such as sodium hypoclorite. The final process is either the cotton waving or the “water agugliature” for  hygienical products.

Furthermore, for environmental preserving, even in India is adopted an effluent water treatment system, structured in four passages, to remove potential  polluting substances from water and thus be able to use the water again to wash the machinery and the fabric. Discharged Effluent water are considered non-pollutant according to the rules of Indian Pollution Control Board.
